Through professional development of teachers, special programs, research, conferences, networking, and community-based coalitions, the California Teachers Association Institute for Teaching seeks to advance public education and promote the common good of our students and communities. Art From the Heart Project - The foundational skills of art will be taught to all grade levels so they can use these skills to express themselves, collaborate, build self confidence and advocate for not only themselves but their community. It will be taught through a program called, Art Vistas, which provides grade level standard aligned art lessons. Student will also be able to creativity express themselves through art with our art from the heart supplies. 1 1 Schedule I, Part I, Line 2 As funds are needed, the lead project coordinator will request funds using our regular disbursement procedures using an expense voucher system requiring receipts and the signature of one or more individuals having authorization privileges. Employees receive routine reviews and their salary is adjusted based on merit and budgetary considerations. All salaries for employees are approved by the board during the budgetary process. I requested a filing extension (Form 8868) which was approved. But our filing is late because I've been overwhelmed at work and personally. I've had a tough year trying to balance everything. I also have a family member who has been in and out of the hospital multiple times this year which has been a struggle for me.
