The Hospital campus hosts four building blocks - Hospital Block, Kitchen & Nurses Block, Attendants Accommodation block and the Doctors Accommodation Block. All services in the Hospital (Diagnostics, Treatment & Surgery, Medicines and Post-treatment care) will be provided for free to the most under-served people and from the most-underserved locations. The all inclusive care also includes free food & accommodation for the patients, doctors and staff. The Hospital is envisaged to be energy neutral with its own solar energy based power generation. The grant facilitates the ongoing rapid construction of the Hospital and the allied building blocks. By the end of 2023 nearly 85% of the construction have been completed. The expected commissioning is still envisaged to be before the end of 2024. In the Medical Care front, Sai Aashraya Trust has served over 90,000 patients through its Medical Camps in Bangalore, Dharmapuri and Arunachal Pradesh. Has two state-of-the-art Mobile Hospitals for this purpose. Has adopted nine schools and six villages to provide holistic care from education to provisions for families to ensuring people are skilled up and self-reliant. All services are provided for FREE. To further assist these communities, Sai Aashraya Trust has embarked on building a 220-bed Super Speciality Hospital with specific emphasis on Mother & Child Care (OBGYN) and Adult & Cardiac Care. The Hospital will have 7 Operation Theaters (OTs). Land has been acquired in Vemagal, near Bangalore City, Karnataka from the local State Government. Construction work started in July 2021 after obtaining all the approvals and the construction of the Hospital Campus is now 85% complete. Once complete, the Hospital will provide Free Surgeries to the most under-served amongst us. Sai Aashraya Inc grants for and ensures the associated monitoring for each of these four pillars of activities, as detailed below - 1. Support for Operating Expenses (Unrestricted) - We receive the Annual Operating Budget for the Fiscal Year along with the Actual Performance and Audited Financial Statements of the past three years while making the Grant decision for the upcoming year. Once a grant for the operating expense is made, we receive quarterly financial statements (actual vs budgeted) and a forecast for the reminder of the Fiscal Year, along with certified statements from Auditors on a periodic basis. We hold monthly, quarterly meetings and reviews with Sai Aashraya Trust, perform on-site visits multiple times in a year to monitor progress and ensure effective service deployment and transformations. 2. Support for Capital Expenditure - We provide grants to Sai Aashraya Trust in building the Hospital campus infrastructure for the new 220-bed Super Speciality Hospital, once the capital project has been approved by our Sai Aashraya Inc board. We follow a detailed due diligence process in approving the grant and ensure site visits, medical review, financial review, examination of all compliance with the local laws of the land. Sai Aashraya Trust is in full compliance with all Indian Laws governing the Hospital infrastructure construction, medical practices, outreach activities, accepting foreign currency donation (FCRA), etc. 3. Sai Aashraya Trust submits a project initiation document with full details of the project with capital expenses under various heads, whenever a new project is initiated. 4. Once a project commences, we monitor progress through detailed status reports, site visits, update meetings. We review progress made, budget vs actual, percent completed, funds needed to complete, payments made to suppliers and contractors and funding received locally.
