The Alumni Association is a center of communications for Alumni, parents, students, and friends using a variety of media platforms and publication communications. Annual Membership: Payment of the Annual Membership fee as approved by the Board entitles that member to active membership in the WSUAA for twelve consecutive months upon receipt of payment. 2. Student Membership: Payment of the Student Membership fee as approved by the Board entitles that member to an active Student Membership in WSUAA for the period of time purchased. 3. Life Membership: Payment of the Life Membership fee as approved by the Board entitles that member to Life Membership in the WSUAA upon receipt of payment. 4. Platinum Life Membership: Payment of the Platinum Life Membership fee as approved by the Board entitles that member to all of the benefits of Life membership plus additional Platinum Life Membership benefits and recognition on the Platinum Wall in the WSUAA Centre upon receipt of payment. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11b The completed Form 990 is reviewed by the Alumni Association's Finance Committee and distributed to the entire Board for review. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12c Directors, including officers, are required to review, complete, and sign a conflict of interest disclosure. If a conflict of interest is disclosed, the Board will review, and the member with the conflict will abstain from the matter. Employees are subject to the Washington State University (WSU) conflict of interest training and disclosures. The by-laws require other volunteers to avoid conflicts of interest in their actions for and with the WSU Alumni Association and disclose with the Executive Director of the WSU Alumni Association and excuse themselves from any situation in which a conflict of interest exists. If a conflict of interest is not voluntarily disclosed by an individual and is later discovered, the Executive Committee has the authority to investigate the matter on behalf of the Board and, if necessary, to initiate action which may include, but is not limited to, recommending that the Board remove the individual(s) involved from office, and recommending to the Executive Director cancellation of the award, honor, scholarship or transaction where the conflict of interest existed. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 15 The Association is subject to the policy of the Washington State University in setting compensation with the guiding principles of providing transparency, structure & accountability; assessing positions on a market based on their assigned responsibilities, taking into account job scope, accountabilities, and value; and aligning our total compensation, including salary plus benefits, for comparable work with similar organizations.
