Our core values are centered around Gender Equality, Empowerment, Education, Diversity & Fellowship for women and girls. Our mission is to improve the lives of women and girls through our awards and recognition programs, generous grants, and hands-on volunteering. In 2022-2023 our Foundation awarded a total of $68,100 to 18 local community organizations to support multiple women's programs and causes. Through our Live Your Dreams Award Program, which aids female heads of households seeking to expand their opportunities through education. A total of $10,000 was awarded to 3 women for this award. Applications for these awards were open to all community organizations with programs that further Soroptimist mission of improving the lives of women and girls in the greater Kansas City area. To reach out to the public for support of our mission, SIKC has conducted several fundraisers including meat raffles and jam sales totaling $4900. SIKC has provided services to the community for many decades while the Foundation has been in existence for nearly seventy years. Our membership is made up of women of all ages and ethnic groups, from all walks of life and cultures in diverse businesses and professions.
