Circle Time is focused on creating and maintaining an environment that is not only conducive to learning but provides a safe haven where children can expand their creativity and thrive. Children work best when they do not have to worry about their bodies ability to feel energized. This means that children need to properly feed everyday. Circle Time CDC provides hot meals throughout the day for every child in our program. We provide breakfast, lunch and snack everyday. A child's ability to learn is greatly hindered when they are unable to concentrate due to lack of food. 20601 0 0 Our second major accomplishment for the year is the consistency of providing quality education through various resources. We take pride in the fact that we offer a summer program for our children. During the summer to make sure our children stay safe and healthy, while also feeling the summer spirit, we bring all of those activities to our center. We open our doors and allow various vendors to come and share with the children. It is a great way for the community resources to come and share what they do with our children. As well as allow the children to learn and explore during the summer. We have everything from veterans on Veteran's day to animals during farm week. The children ask questions, expand their learning and knowledge. To cap the end of the year off, as all of our children stay with us throughout the summer, we have a huge celebration in August. All of our kindergarten children are celebrated in August, right before their new journey begins in kindergarten. This is a grand celebration of one journey finishing and another beginning. We also have mini celebrations throughout the year where we get the opportunity to lavish love on the parents and be a welcomed resource for the entire family. In Christmas we have a party with gifts for the entire family, Thanksgiving is a feast for the family with food going home. During Halloween we have safe trick or treating and for ever child's birthday we take the time to celebrate them. We believe that the family as a whole is the responsiblity of our program. We look to make changes in the program to keep the children's interest, continuously challenge their thinking and to make sure the children maintain a healthy sense of interest. This is important because we want to make sure that we serve the total child. Each part of their learning is of great importance. Tanisha Brame and Guye Brame are the only board members at this time. We are currently looking for more board members. Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 8b Currently we only have two people on the board. The meetings are held with the both of us but we have no committees to govern over. All decisions are made with the members we have. When we are able to add more people to the board we will open up the idea of committees to allow for more direct management of the special tasks. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11b Once completed the form will be handed to the other board member, as the form is filled out by the other member. If there is any concerns or questions at the time of handed it over for review, these things can be addressed. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 12c The other board member has been made aware of the conflict of interest policy. He keeps me aware of his financial pursuits, and they are screened to ensure they do not interfere with the center's mission, vision or conflict of interest policy. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Currently the CEO is also the Director for the center. As the center director the CEO has a W2. The way in which the salary was arranged was by default what the center could afford, after paying the staff at rates the match the industry standard. The amount the center directors make was significantly higher than what Circle Time CDC could currently afford. An arrangement was made to pay minimum wage for now, for the betterment of the center, at a flat rate per month. This would be a $1500 salary per month, until the center can sustain itself. Then the salary rate per month could be adjusted and/or renegotiated. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 We have all documents on property and are prepared at any time to share with the public, the information that they are asking. Our tax forms are made public and our governing documentation is listed with Community Care Licensing and can be accessed through them if need be.
