I completed and mailed a hard copy of Gaudeamus' 990 return on September 10, 2024. On October 3, 2024 the IRS returned the hard copy requesting an electronic submission (IRS letter 2694C refer to 0422667265). The IRS letter was mailed to the Executive Director, who did not realize additional action was required to correct my 990 submission. I did not receive the IRS letter from the Director until early December. This was the first year Gaudeamus' total revenue exceeded $50,000. Prior returns were submitted via 990-EZ. I was not aware that nonprofit 990 filings were required to be submitted electronically.
