Members are volunteers from the community who apply to join the organization, pass the background check, and receive the appropriate training to provide emergency medical care to the community following the training guidelines established by the State of NJ. Members must be actively involved in the organization to have vote. Member election for additional members Part VI line 7a When an individual submits an application to become a member of the organization, the application is reviewed by the membership committee. The membership committee is responsible for meeting with the applicant, ording a background check, and presenting the application to the members for a vote to accept the applicant as a member. Governing body decisions Part VI line 7b The governing body of the organization and the members may propose actions and purchases by the organization. All actions and purchases must receive the approval of the members eligible to vote and present at the meeting. Form 990 governing body review Part VI line 11 The Form 990 is presented to the officers of the organization for review and approval prior to filing the return.
