The focus is on programs, services and collections which support and enhance our community. This year's focus was on completing the capital building campaign and settling in to expanded service and program offerings. The Foundation raises funds to support the new Main Library, Parks and Recreation Center that opened on October 28, 2023. Donations/funds raised are transferred to the City of South San Francisco and targeted for use in supplementing programs, collections, services. In addition to small donations from community members and local businesses, the Foundation received two large donations from local corporations in 2020 and large donations from a local family in 2019/20. In all, we received approximately 180 donations, small to large, during our capital campaign for the new facility. The capital campaign has ended and we have received smaller general donations since them. As we determine ongoing and special needs, the Foundation will proceed with targeted funding, as well as continuing to accept smaller, ongoing, local support from South San Francisco individuals, families and businesses who are appreciative and support our programs, collections and services.
