This failure to apply for the six month extension is completely the result of an error by the undersigned, as treasurer of the Freestore. I have submitted the forms each year since the Freestore was formed in 2005, but mistakenly did not do so in May, 2024. I sincerely ask that you forgive the penalties that may result from my mistake. The penalties will cause a serious burden on our ability to serve the needy families who rely on our help. The Freestore is 100% staffed by retired volunteers. The majority of resources shown herein result from applying recommended governmental values to gently used furniture and other household goods that are donated to us. We give these items to families which must find different places to live because of serious trouble in their lives. They cannot afford to purchase much needed furniture. Donations form the substantial portion of our monetary resources. We receive no governmental grants. While we do charge small fees to sponsoring agencies, these fees cover only a very small portion of operating expenses. I request your favorable consideration of this request.
