Our interdisciplinary group was formed for the purpose of improving child-parent wellbeing and educational equity in the United States (U.S.) and outlying territories. Activities and programs are designed to support children and families who are at predictable risk for deleterious outcomes and to mobilize intergenerational, multicultural family and community resilience. Focus Areas: Network leaders collaborate to develop, guide, and/or participate in small-scale, high-impact projects based on scientific evidence that promote healthy child development (e.g., education, neuroscience), parent wellbeing (e.g., public health, social determinants), and the establishment of non-violence as the norm in the U. S. (e.g. healing, culture). Program Service Accomplishments and Projects in Progress, Founding Year. In 2023, the organization established itself as a 501-c3 entity in the State of New York and designed its governance and operating procedures as well as financial plans. Trustees, core group members, and supporters convened to codify and define the values, principles, and core activities of the organization. At inception, we began the process of writing and illustrating multiple educational works which will become available beginning in 2024 and have continued to seek and apply for funding for operations and early learning programming in particular. As part of our commitment to network principles, we provided relevant information and counsel to numerous individuals and kindred organizations free of charge. We estimate that the evolutionforward network benefitted approximately 1,000 persons of all ages throughout the year, either via direct engagement, communications, or partnerships. 0 0 In 2023 we created open access or free educational resources for parents, professionals, and young people and disseminated them via social media, email, and community meetings.
