Trauma healing training & support programs were developed to assist local counselors in Burundi, Africa as the country seeks to heal from decades of ethnic conflict. Children, women, families and entire communities in this small central African country have been traumatized from generations of violence, war and extreme poverty. Healing and reconciliaton are paramount to successful and lasting peace iniatives in the area. A fifth training mission was taken in 2023 to provide instruction in EMDR therapeutic methods, community leader training modules, and youth leadership development program.
