Tens of thousands of homeless, starving, sick and injured street dogs struggle to survive on the streets of Mexico. There are no governmental services for these street dogs. They continue to reproduce exponentially. Treatable, contagious diseases are wide spread as a product of being unvaccinated. Their suffering is enormous, heartbreaking and preventable. Beach Dog Rescue's purpose is to provide the means to eliminate as much suffering as possible. Through public donations, the organization is able to fund spay and neuter clinics, vaccinations and medical treatment by local licensed vets. In many cases Beach Dog Rescue personally provides temporary housing or will fund local foster based housing until the dogs are healthy enough to be transported to Canadian or US non-profit rescues, where they will ultimately be placed into good homes. Vet Care - Through partnerships with low-cost vets, we sponsor emergency and routine medical care for homeless dogs and dogs with low-income owners. Street dogs are susceptible to diseases, being run over and intentionally hurt by humans. We are often the line between life and death. Low-income owners often love their pets but struggle to afford basic care such as vaccines and parasite treatment. We love to help people who love their pets. 0 25470 Spay and Neuter Campaigns - Street dogs in Mexico are everywhere. They live on street corners, under cars, at gas stations and on the beach. Spaying and neutering are the only way to end the cycle of birth, suffering and death on the street. To date we have sponsored 5,174 surgeries - with 1,097 occurring in 2023. 0 13555 Dog food and supplies - In addition to feeding the dogs in our care, in boarding and in foster homes, we help local families to provide their dogs with food. Very often people love their pets but can't afford to feed them. A person should not have to chose between feeding their family and feeding their dog. 0 11392 Dog Kennels. This year we accomplished something we've been dreaming about for years. We built four indoor/outdoor dog kennels and one quarantine house on our property.
