Membership is made up of approximately 354 members of which approximately 139 have voting rights. There are several categories of membership while only Regular members have the right to vote. Part VI, Line 7a The club has a nominating committee which proposes a board of governors for the upcoming year at the annual meeting. The regular and honorary life members present at the annual meeting if representing a quorum then vote on the nominated slate or may propose and vote on an alternate slate. Part VI, Line 7b Certain decisions by the board of governors require a vote of approval by the regular and honorary life members including any changes to the by-laws. These decisions and rights are detailed in the Articles of Association. Part VI, Line 11a The form is reviewed by the Treasurer Commodore and members of the Finance Committee prior to filing. Part VI, Line 12c At the beginning of the board of govenors' term fiscal year the officers governors and manager review and sign the conflict of interest statement. Compliance is monitored and enforced through the annual budgetary process and monthly board of governors meetings where disbursements are approved. Part VI, Line 15 The club manager's compensation is reviewed annually and depending on performance a merit adjustment will be granted. All officers and governors are uncompensated volunteers.
