Kisoboka means "it is possible" in Lugandan. Monthly allocations to KIP provide for tuition, meals, and medical care. In addition, select monthly allocations include special items: school supplies and uniforms, school facilities, medical facilities, clean water facilities, hens and goats, and small business grants. The organization is KIP's primary source of funding. KIP provides regular reports to the organization on the status of initiatives. KIP operates the Kisoboka Junior Primary School, Kisoboka High School, and the Kisoboka Medical Center (located in the Wakiso district west of Kampala, Uganda). KIP also provides support for Christ the King High School and Shalom Restoration Academy in greater Kampala. The final monthly allocation is the result of negotiation between the organization and KIP, and is significantly dependent on the current month's donor contributions. The board of directors approves each monthly wire transfer to KIP for the purposes of meeting the most important KIP identified needs, based on the negotiated allocation. The monthly allocation provides for tuition, meals, and medical care. KIP provides regular reports to the organization on the status of initiatives. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The organization made its information available to the public by promptly responding with the information requested to any written request. This filing was filed by US Mail on time (April 15, 2022). This is the electronic version of the filing which was made on time. There are no changes from the filing which was made by US Mail. Form 990, Part V, 2b says that if the number of employees is greater than 250 then e-file may be necessary. Since the number of employees is less than 250, it was determined that e-file would not be necessary. I simply filled out the paper/pdf form 990 and submitted as I always have. I did not see anything on the paper form which said it cannot be submitted. We are a very small volunteer based organization with limited resources available for overhead. In addition, the accountant we retained for the financial review did not alert us to the recent change in filing method. In the end, the fact that the brand new e-file requirement was unintentionally missed was a one-time oversight due to limiting resources on non-program activities, consistent with the mission objectives of Kisoboka Uganda.
